How much does a car lift cost?
5 price drivers set the cost of a car lift: capacity, configuration, certification, included equipment and warranty coverage. Installation, delivery, accessories and electrical work add to the total, and online prices often leave them out. Daytona lifts are quoted by local distributors, so get a quote from your local Daytona distributor.
What ceiling height do I need for a 2-post lift?
110 in. (2.79 m) overall for the LTPF9 and 114 in. (2.90 m) for the LTPF12: these floorplate 2-post lifts have no overhead bar. Overhead models need more ceiling height because of the top crossbar. Check the overall height on each spec sheet, then add clearance for your tallest vehicle at full rise. Our guide to a 2-post car lift for an 8 ft (2.44 m) ceiling walks through the measurements.
How thick does concrete need to be for a 2-post lift?
4 in. (102 mm) of 3,000 psi (20.7 MPa) concrete is a common minimum, but the manual for your lift sets the exact requirement and heavier lifts need more. Keep anchors at least 6 in. (152 mm) from slab edges and expansion joints, and never anchor into hand-mixed concrete. Follow your manual and consult a qualified professional, especially for post-tension slabs. Read our guide on concrete thickness for a 2-post lift before you drill.
Is a 2-post lift better than a 4-post lift for wheel and brake work?
Yes. A 2-post lift raises the vehicle by the frame and leaves the wheels free, which suits wheel, brake and suspension work. A 4-post lift suits drive-on storage, parking and alignment work. Compare both in our 2-post lift vs 4-post lift guide.
Can I install a car lift in my home garage?
Yes, if your ceiling height, floor space and concrete meet the lift manual and a licensed electrician confirms the power supply. Floorplate 2-post lifts, 4-post parking lifts and scissor lifts are common home-garage choices, and all Daytona equipment is for indoor use only. Permit rules vary, so check with your local Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) before you install. A local Daytona distributor can quote, deliver and install, including single home-garage orders, so find a Daytona distributor near you.
Can I finance a car lift?
Yes, third-party financing may be available, but approval is not guaranteed. Daytona is not a lender, so NewLane Finance (US) and Active Growth Financial (Canada) set approval, rates and terms. See our automotive lift financing options for details on both lenders.
