WARRANTY AND SHIPPING RETURN POLICY

Daytona Automotive Equipment Inc. Limited Defective Equipment "5 2 1 Limited Warranty" Policy The Warranty details for DAYTONA Equipment are as follows:

• Daytona 5 2 1 Limited Warranty will go into effect from the date of the purchase invoice. The warranty covers 5 years on the structural components of the equipment, 2 years on the power units, cylinders, and seal kits, and 1 year on covering all other defective parts, minus exclusions.
• If a Warranty problem occurs, the customer or Distributor must give Daytona a copy of the purchase invoice to enable the processing of the Warranty claim. Photos or videos may be requested by Daytona's Warranty Department.
• For Distributors ordering stock, the Distributor has 1 year from the date on the invoice between Daytona and the Distributor to sell all items on the invoice. For all items sold within this year, this 5 2 1 Limited Warranty will be extended to the end user effect from the date of the purchase invoice between the Distributor and the end user. This warranty is non transferable. If a warranty claim is made, the end user should contact their Distributor. The Distributor can then contact Daytona. Daytona will ask the Distributor for a copy of the invoice to the end user and also a serial number. Once the Daytona warranty department has these documents, the warranty process can begin.
• Warranty is recognized to include “parts” which prove upon inspection by Daytona to be defective in material and /or workmanship.
• Daytona Automotive shall replace parts that upon inspection prove to be defective. Daytona will pay for all freight and freight related charges for shipping replacement warranty parts to the customer for as long as the part is covered under the 5 2 1 Limited Warranty.
• The warranty will become invalid if the equipment is improperly installed, improperly operated, improperly used, abused, if the equipment continues to be used while under warranty investigation, or not maintained in accordance with Daytona Automotive specifications set forth in the said equipment’s manual.
• Warranty does not cover parts, service call fees or labour needed for normal maintenance (adjusting cables, lubrication etc.)
• Warranty does not include wearing and/or abused parts including but not limited to, cables, hoses, slider blocks, chains, and rubber pads.
• Warranty does not cover damages due to poor maintenance including lack of annual safety inspections/service if applicable.
• Warranty does not include on-site labour fees, or service call fees.
• Failure to follow installation and operation instructions, neglect, or abuse will void warranty on the entire product.
• Warranty does not cover damage caused flood, fire, corrosion or "acts of God" of any kind, damage caused by improper lifting
or overloading, any equipment that has been modified or altered from the original design, or improperly repaired.
• Warranty does not cover cosmetic defects or blemishes that do not interfere with the functionality of the equipment, including scratches in the paint.
• Daytona will accept the return of unused, unmodified and unopened equipment within 10 days of the date on the invoice for a refund minus a 30%restocking fee, excluding any and all shipping costs, duty and taxes. This is for situations where the customer has changed their mind, ordered the wrong equipment, or the equipment is no longer needed. This does NOT include Special Order items. All Special Order items are final sale. A Special Order item is defined as any item that is not part of Daytona's regular stock or equipment line.
• Validity of all Warranty claims will be at the sole discretion of Daytona Automotive Equipment Inc.
• Customer Note: The above policy is warranted to the original owner only and is not transferable. The warranty applies to Daytona products only.
• Disclaimer: Daytona Automotive Equipment Inc. will not be responsible for any personal injury and/or punitive damages as a result of improper maintenance, use, application, negligence, and/or poor training or supervision. All equipment should be inspected upon delivery for any damages, breakages, loosening of bolts, nuts, components and any moving parts, and inspected for safe use prior to each use.

2 Year Parts Warranty applies to defective parts including motors, power pumps, cylinders and seal kits, and only once the parts have been proven and/or approved to be defective by Daytona Automotive Equipment’s warranty department.
• 1 Year Parts Warranty applies to all other defective parts that are non wearing, minus exclusions, and only once the parts have been proven and/or approved to be defective by Daytona Automotive Equipment’s warranty department.
• Warranty does not include wearing and/or abused parts including but not limited to, cables, hoses, slider blocks, chains, gears, wedges, and rubber pads.
• Warranty does not include electronic parts including but not limited to, circuit boards, switches, display panels.
• Daytona Automotive shall replace parts that upon inspection prove to be defective. Daytona will pay for all freight and freight related charges for shipping replacement warranty parts to the customer for as long as the part is covered under the 5 2 1 Limited Warranty.
• Daytona will accept the return of unused, unmodified and unopened parts within 30 days of the date on the invoice for a refund, excluding any and all shipping costs, duty and taxes. SALES, SHIPPING, and RETURN POLICY

PRICES: Prices and specifications are subject to change without notice. All orders will be invoiced at prices prevailing at time of shipment. Price quotes are based on Pre-tax pricing. All applicable taxes will be applied upon invoicing.

PAYMENT METHODS: We accept VISA, MasterCard, AMEX, Debit, Cash, Cheque, ACH, Wire payment and E-transfer. No order will ship until payment has been received in full and/or funds have cleared our bank, unless credit has been established.

FREIGHT/SHIPPING: In most cases Daytona Automotive Equipment will deliver the equipment and assist with unloading. If outside freight companies are required for shipping, common courier companies such as Day and Ross, R+L Carriers, Manitoulin Transport, etc, are used. We negotiate the most competitive freight rates possible and pass these savings to our customers. We make every effort to minimize freight charges and provide timely delivery.

  • Most items in stock can ship within 72 hours
  • Daytona Automotive Equipment will not be liable for any damages related to unavailability of
    inventory, delays in shipping, delays at the border including storage fees, duties and taxes, or damage
    due to an outside freight company.

DELIVERY AND UNLOADING: If outside freight companies are used, the customer is responsible for unloading the shipment from the truck. Daytona Automotive Equipment will assume no responsibility for any additional charges due to time or scheduling, or damages that may be incurred because of unloading from the delivering carrier’s truck. Some freight carriers have restrictions on delivering to residential addresses and may require pick up at the freight terminal. Lifts and other heavy equipment will require a fork lift to unload. It is advantageous in those cases to ship to a freight terminal where the terminal personnel will unload the product and load it onto the customer’s trailer or truck. Lifts cannot be unloaded using a lift gate vehicle. We cannot advise customers of exact time of delivery, however, will provide our customers an estimated date of delivery and provide them with tracking information. All shipments must be inspected immediately upon receipt. For your protection, any external damage must be noted on the Bill of Lading at the time of delivery to qualify for a claim against the freight carrier. The customer is encouraged take images of said damage. Concealed damages must be reported to the freight company within three days of delivery. It is the customer’s responsibility to file for damage claims against the freight company. Shortages/missing parts must be reported to Daytona Automotive Equipment within three days of delivery.

INSTALLATION: In most cases Daytona Automotive Equipment can install the equipment unless otherwise specified by our customer, or if the installation location is outside of our Service Zone (2-hour radius of Brighton Ontario).

PRODUCTS:  Specifications, weights, dimensions and descriptions are subject to change without notice and are not guaranteed due to our continuous improvement program. We reserve the right to source materially equivalent substitutes for items which cannot be obtained in sufficient quantities due to existing shortages or price changes.

NEW RETURNS: All returns must be authorized prior to shipping. Contact Daytona Automotive Equipment for instructions. Customer is responsible for returning the defective product in sufficient packaging to prevent damage during return. No credit will be given on unauthorized or damaged returns unrelated to warranty claims. Customers may return any unused, unmodified, uninstalled, regularly stocked equipment in the original packaging within 10 days of purchase subject to a 30% restocking fee**, and 30 days for any unused, unmodified, uninstalled, regularly stocked parts in the original packaging. All Special Order items are final sale. A Special Order item is defined as any item that is not part of Daytona's regular stock or equipment line. All freight and freight related charges related to the original shipment, unrelated to warranty claims, will be the responsibility of the customer, and will not be refunded.

WARRANTY RETURNS: Daytona Automotive shall replace parts and equipment that upon inspection prove to be defective. Daytona will pay for all freight and freight related charges for shipping replacement warranty parts to the customer for as long as the part is covered under the 5 2 1 Limited Warranty. Alternatively, if the customer wishes to have the replacement warranty product shipped prior to the warranty department completing their investigation, the customer must pay for the replacement product and shipping in full prior to it leaving the warehouse. A credit or refund will be issued to customer upon warranty department completing their investigation, and the product is deemed defective. The customer is responsible for loading and unloading warranty replacements.

Where there is no resolution that can be reached with defective equipment as all options for repair have been exhausted, Daytona Automotive Equipment will exchange the equipment for new equipment of equal value at no additional charge to the customer, or to an upgraded model where the customer is responsible for paying the difference in retail price.
